737探索卓越 梦想启航——上实国际部2024年英美大学宣讲会成功举办
11月22日下午，来自美国波士顿大学、俄亥俄州立大学、南加利福尼亚大学、圣路易斯华盛顿大学及英国拉夫堡大学、华威大学、伦敦艺术大学驻中国办公室的校方代表们齐聚上实国际部，带来了一场精彩的海外大学宣讲会。此次活动面向8-11年级的学生和家长，旨在搭建一个与全球顶尖大学交流的平台，吸引了众多学生和家长的积极参与。
On the afternoon of 22nd November, school representatives from Boston University, Loughborough University, the Ohio State University, the University of Warwick, University of Southern California, University of the Arts London, Washington University in St. Louis gathered at SESID and brought a wonderful university information session. The event, which was open to students and parents of Grade 8-11, aimed to build a platform for exchanges with the world's top universities and attracted the active participation of many students and parents.

在招生宣讲会正式开启之前，各大学的展位已经布置得井然有序，宣传资料丰富多彩，成功吸引了师生和家长的目光。众多参与者在展位前驻足，与校方代表进行了面对面的深入交流，以获取大学的详尽信息。这种直接的沟通方式极大地促进了沟通效率，为学生和家长提供了一个全面了解大学的机会。校方代表们以耐心和专业的态度，提供了大量有价值的信息，满足了参与者的咨询需求。
Before the start of the presentation, the booths of the universities had been set up in an orderly manner with colorful promotional materials, which successfully attracted the attention of teachers, students and parents. Many participants stopped by the booths and had face-to-face in-depth communication with the university representatives to obtain detailed information about the universities. This direct communication greatly facilitated the efficiency of communication and provided an opportunity for students and parents to have a comprehensive understanding of the university. With patience and professionalism, the representatives of the universities provided a lot of valuable information to meet the participants' enquiry needs.

远道而来的校方代表们共同为上实国际部的师生和家长带来一场内容丰富、见解独到的大学教育展示。每位校方代表都详细介绍了各自大学的教育理念、专业特色以及申请流程，涵盖了从商业管理、经济学、数学、材料科学、传媒、艺术设计到医学和工程等多个学科领域。他们分享了各所大学的教学资源、研究实力、校园文化和学生生活，为学生和家长提供了深入了解不同大学教育特色的机会。通过这些介绍，参与者能够更清晰地认识到每所大学的学术氛围，感受不同大学的独特优势与魅力。
University Representatives gave us a rich and insightful presentation on university education to SESIDers. Each school representative introduced the educational philosophy in detail, the characteristics of each major and application process of the universities, covering a wide range of majors from business management, economics, mathematics, material science, media, art and design, to medicine and engineering. They shared the teaching resources, research strength, campus culture and student life of each university, providing students and parents with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the educational characteristics of different universities. Through these presentations, participants were able to have a clearer understanding of the academic atmosphere of each university and experience the unique strengths and charms of different universities.
活动中特别设置了问答环节，学生和家长有机会直接与大学代表进行交流，深入了解各大学的教学资源和校园生活。这种直接的沟通方式让学生和家长能够更直观地了解大学的真实情况，为他们的未来选择提供了宝贵的第一手资料。
During the Q&A session, students and parents had the opportunity to speak directly with university representatives and gain insight into the teaching resources and campus life of each university. This direct communication allowed students and parents to have a more intuitive understanding of what universities are really like, providing them with valuable first-hand information for their future choices.

It was my great opportunity today to meet with many amazing admissions advisors from fantastic universities. I had an especially insightful conversation with Ms. Emily, the advisor from USC. Many of my questions were answered, and I gained valuable new information about USC, which further deepened my passion and determination to apply and become a Trojan! (Fight on!!!??）
I’m truly grateful to my school for providing us with a platform to communicate face-to-face with these advisors. During the four-hour university promotion event, I felt fully engaged and so glad to hear about the experiences and educations students obtained at these universities. It just felt so real-meeting the advisors in person was completely different from simply staring at a screen and searching for information online!
Apart from the listening to the university presentations, one moment in particular warmed my heart. As a student dreaming of attending USC, my teachers had specifically invited Ms. Emily to participate in today’s event. When my teachers introduced me to her, saying, “It’s my pleasure to introduce you,”I felt deeply honored and incredibly confident, and that was exactly my best feeling I’ve had throughout my tiring and anxious application process—being believed in and affirmed by my honorable teachers??
Although it is a cliche, I still want to say after today’s event that SESID truly feels like a family to me. There are countless small moments in my school life inspire and encourage me every day!!

很荣幸这次能与知名学府的招生老师进行交流，这是一次非常有意义的体验。我在活动过程中了解到了更多学校的招生细节，知道应该如何进一步准备好自己的申请。招生老师们对我们提出的问题都给予了详细的回答。我也从中明白，学术成绩的优越如今已经无法成为顶尖学校招生的唯一标准，更多的招生官看重有思考力和创新力的全面发展型学生。因此，在之后的申请准备过程中，我会更多地培养学术探究精神和检索信息能力，继续提升自己。

感谢上海市实验学校国际部，将世界顶尖大学悉数请入学校，让国际部的学生和家长有机会近距离了解来自英国和美国的7所世界顶尖大学，不仅有私立研究型大学，也有公立大学，还有艺术类院校，可谓是星光熠熠，各有千秋。而作为学生家长，我们不仅通过该活动了解了这些学校的基本情况，也获悉了这些顶级名校的申请门槛；无论是英国还是美国的大学，都非常认可A-LEVEL的课程体系，无疑是给打算英美双申的家长吃了一颗定心丸。而且现场也不少互动环节，通过视频和提问的方式，让学生和家长们了解到大学校园、宿舍、学业、社团活动等诸多未来即将面临的挑战和机会，收获满满。
