上海市实验学校是一所以教育改革实验为主要任务，集教育、教学、科研为一体的市实验性学校，国内部基本学制为小学、初中、高中十年一贯制，在此基础上实行弹性学制。国际部学制实行十二年制。
国际部秉承“创造适合孩子的世界，培养走向世界的孩子”这一使命，构建符合国际型人才培养需要的课程体系和有实验特色的校本拓展课程，注重境内外学生的个性差异研究和多元国际文化背景下的小学汉语言教学研究，同时遵循培养学生“懂中国文化，有世界眼光”的思路，开发中华文化特色课程，开展国内外节日礼俗系列活动。实行小班化教学，优化学科配置，使用自编教材，注重教学的活动策划，使学生在知识、人格、志趣、文化适应等方面协调发展。学校利用网络平台，为家长提供丰富的家校互动，家长可以及时了解学校、班级动态和孩子的在校发展，并与老师进行有针对性地沟通。

国际部招生对象
具有外国国籍的学生：小学1~5年级
学生入学需接受测试，掌握其认知水平和入学适应性，以便进行针对性教学。

SESID’s mission is “to build a world for the children;to train the
children for the world”. SES’s aim is, by reforming courses, teaching
materials, teaching methods, teaching assessment and other components of
teaching system, to fully explore the learning potentials of children and
adolescents. When student graduate, they are excellent in that they are
well developed in moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic aspects.

We welcome foreign students to study at our school and experience the
vigour and the happiness in the school as well.
