Last week,we had an interesting English class. Phil taught us how to
make cookies. He took out all the materials and asked Wing-Kei to be a
chef. All the children had chances to help Phil and the chef.

First we combined 3 cups of uncooked oats, 3/2 cups of flour,1 teaspoon
of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of salt in medium bowl. Secondly we creamed
5/4 cup butter and sugar(3/4 cup packed brown sugar and 1/2 cup white
sugar) until fluffy. We put 1 large egg and some vanilla into the cream
mixture. Then we blended oat mixture into the cream mixture slowly. Stir in
MM’S. Finally Phil placed rounded dough evenly spaced on cookie sheet and
baked it for 9 minutes after class.

This is the first time for us to make cookies. All of us were very
excited. Everyone tasted the delicious cookies. We loved the cookies and we
loved Phil’s class.
