同学们，还记得上学期末我们环保社团的大丰收吗？绿油油的生菜，红红的小番茄，收获的喜悦我相信现在还留在大家的心里吧。在“上海根与牙青少年活动中心”出版的杂志上，出现了我们上海市实验学校国际部的环保社团的孩子们，虽然我们的菜园只有小小的一块，但我们种出的菜却丝毫不输给别人。
The Roots and shoots group in our school gave our farm a name’The Good Times
Plot’. The site of the farm was chosen based on conversations and voting by
ourselves. Even though this small farm only started in April2009, within a three
month span of time, children were able to fully enjoy and understand the
combination of happiness and hard work involved in organic farming. The older
children became math teachers for a day, teaching younger children how to measure
a plant’s height, units and zeroes.

At harvest time, we shared our organic vegetables and our enthusiasm with
friends, teachers and family members, anticipating the arrival of the next growing
season.
