2721 To improve the English reading literacy is one of our school’s teaching goals. Recently,
the English teaching and research group start to use the English reading evaluation system,
which powered up by Scholastic Inc. Yesterday our school invited education experts from
Scholastic Inc. to introduce the operational process and learning requirements of
this system to all the teachers and parents present. Both of them had an overview of
this system. And they realized that 20-minute English reading every day has vital influence
on student. Reading can not only improve their language capacity, but also enhance their
reading ability. And these understanding ability and critical thinking ability will
help the learning of all the subjects. Let’s work together and keep reading!
学生英语阅读素养的提升是学校英语教学的目标之一。近期，学校英语组结合学科发展年，引入了学乐公司Scholastic的英语阅读测试评价系统。昨天，学校邀请了学乐的教学专家给与会的所有家长和中，外教老师们讲授了该系统的具体操作流程和学习要求。老师和家长们都对该系统有了一个初步的了解。大家都意识到，每天二十分钟的英语课外阅读对于学生意义重大。阅读不仅可以提高学生的语言技能，同时也能提高学生的阅读理解能力。这个理解能力及逻辑思维能力将影响到其他各个学科的学习。
