2188 Yesterday, the teachers and students of SESID 8A visited Sino-Canada on
an educational tour. Mrs Cao and our class teacher Mrs Shen made contact with
the school for the purpose of our further study. We left SES at 8:30 in the
morning. It took as nearly two hours to arrive there . The school is in the
suburbs, southwest of shanghai. When we got off the school bus, we were warm
ly welcomed by the school staff. The guide showed us around the campus and in
troduced the various facilities to us. We were fascinated by a wide range of
the curricula and school activities. After having a delicious lunch we went
for a demo class about biology and chemistry. The foreign teacher comes from
Canada and he is an excellent“actor”, with amazing sound effects and humor.
He had us laughing our lunch out most of the class. With his brief
explanation of life, greenhouse gases and acids, the teacher entertained us
for nearly an hour. The foreign teacher ended his lesson with playing a video
about some interesting experiments. We enjoyed his lesson so much that we
didn’t realize it was time for us to say goodbye.
On the school bus back to SES, we were discussing the school and the
lesson heatedly. We really thank our teachers to give us a chance to
experience. As a result the visit will make a difference to our decision on
the choice of our further study.
